Itinerary of Sapa Ha Long bay 5 days tour

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
The driver will meet you at the airport, take you to your hotel in Hanoi Old quarter for checking in.

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay overnight cruise
After breakfast in Hanoi, depart the capital for the 3hr 30mins drive to Halong Bay. Arrive to Halong City’s jetty (around noon) and proceed with check-in formalities. After a welcome onboard, lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay. In the afternoon, enjoy some sightseeing, on-board activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on the vessel. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board.

- Activities: Leave the city behind, drive through fascinating countryside to the dock where this Halong Bay adventure truly starts. Climb aboard a traditional junk boat – with its beautiful woodwork and beaming crew – and venture out into emerald waters of the bay.
Our tour guide will not accompany aboard the cruise in Halong Bay. Resident English speaking guide on board available.
Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Night train to Sapa (Lao Cai)
Early risers can enjoy a memorable sunrise over the karst formations of Halong Bay. Breakfast will be served shortly thereafter.
Enjoy breakfast while the vessels cruises slowly through the magnificent rock formations back towards port. Brunch before checking out. Arriving at the harbor, you will be picked up for transferring back to Hanoi.

Drop you off around Hanoi Old quarter, free at your leisure to enjoy Hanoi City (Dinner by your own).

Around 20:30, car will pick you up to the Tran Quy Cap train station for the night train to Lao Cai.

Day 4: Sapa Trekking tour (Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai)
The train would arrive at Lao Cai Train Station around 06:00. Our guide awaited at the station will take you to a bus and transfer you to the beautiful town of Sapa. The ride gives you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces that make Sapa famous with travelers.

Enjoy a breakfast before the Tour Start. Depart from Sapa town by car to Lao Chai village, following the road down the hill. Views of the Muong Hoa valley and magnificent surroundings of mountains and rice terrace fields. Along the road, people from many ethnic groups (H’mong, Zay, and Red Dao) are likely to be met, and there are stalls along the way that serve tea, fruits and sweets. Soon after turning off the main road and taking a local path, we will arrive in the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai, where you will experience the daily life of the villagers.

Tavan village – Sapa

After that, we walk from Lao Chai to Ta Van village, where the Zay hill tribes live. Here you take a rest and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by your local guide in a local house. After lunch you trek up and downhill. Specially you will trek through a bamboo forest then relax beside the waterfall.

Explore the Red Dao village of Giang Ta Chai where you will also have the chance to see their daily activities. In the late afternoon the car will pick you up for the return journey to Sa Pa. For the rest of the day, you can free explore the town of sapa at leisure. Overnight at Sapa Hotel.
