My friend and I took the 7.00 bus from Hanoi to Sapa. I booked directly through the office in Hanoi with Jonothan who was great. $30 one way each. As our pick up was from the Hanoi Eco Sapa office we were first on the bus and got to pick the seats. This isn't always the case though as some people will specifically request and pay a little more for the middle or front row seats. Back seats do not recline but they are still comfortable and have everything else.

I researched about how uncomfortable train travel from Hanoi to Lao Cai could be and the fact that you still have to take transport from Lao Cai up to Sapa. Hence my husband and I decided to take the Eeco Sapa minivan up to Sapa and on our return trip take the train just for the experience.

I booked Eco Sapa bus as I went to Sapa with my mother and brother. The booking process was simple, and all the emails were promptly replied. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning and got a packet of bottled water and bread. The chairs were big and comfortable and there was plenty of leg space for us. The driver was also driving safely and responsibly even though he had to drive for almost 6 hours.
